10 Days of
Constant Prayer
Following the example of the first believers who "joined together constantly" in
prayer (Acts 1:14) until the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, we are calling Christians
from all nations to unite in prayer.
The Global Day of Prayer
On Pentecost Sunday, Christians in almost every country will assemble to pray.
Many will gather in small groups such as prayer groups, homes, local churches,
businesses and some may even assemble in large public venues.

NINETY DAYS OF BLESSING
As in the first Pentecost, transformed Christians transform their communities
as they offer themselves to God as instruments through which their prayers
can be answered. We encourage pastors, churches, ministries and business
leaders to seek out partnerships with local charities, faith-based social
agencies, and other organizations with a proven track-record of bringing
hands-on, tangible help to those in need in the Lakeland area. This is where
prayer becomes a lifestyle.
Uniting in repentance
and prayer for the awakening of the church and the transformation
of the city.
This effort is centered on the theme and
purposes of 2 Chronicles 7:14-16
"If my people, who are called
by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face
and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven
and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my
eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered
in this place. I have chosen and consecrated this temple so
that my Name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will
always be there."
The Lakeland Prayer Network
Calling Christians from all races, cultures and traditions in the
Lakeland area to unite in repentance and prayer and work together
as God's servants for the blessing and healing of our city -
specifically the children and families in every neighborhood.
We have a dream, a
vision, a calling - following in the footsteps of those from
prior generations - heeding the call to withdraw from the hustle
of the rat race and stress in our day, and return to our Source
- the fount of every blessing and the giver of life so that by
humbling ourselves and calling out on His Name, the Lord Jesus
Christ will be glorified in our midst. Our lives, our families,
our neighborhoods will be transformed from darkness to light.
The end result will be Christians living their faith with vitality,
working together to see domestic violence, divorce, abuse, unemployment
and crime rates 'inexplicably' drop!
